Camp STEAM Canada believes in supporting STEAM initiatives across our community – from the summer camps we offer, to working with organizations to help with research or other iniatives. Following are just a few partnerships Camp STEAM has engaged with, to build and elevate STEAM learning, research and more!
SickKids (The Hospital for Sick Chidren), CALIPER Project
Camp STEAM is proud to support SickKid in Toronto with CALIPER, a project which helps doctors across Canada more quickly diagnose children. Read more about their research project, and how you can get involved.
Development of Social and Emotional Communication Lab (DSEC Lab) at Queen’s University in Ontario

Child Interviewing and Witness Lab (CIW Lab) at McGill University in Ontario

Power to Girls
Power to Girls is an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Black and marginalized girls by providing programs and support for personal development, mentorship, mental health and wellness in the Greater Toronto Area as well as Ghana. Camp STEAM is partnering with Power to Girls to support them in a reserach study they are conducting with Women and Gender Equity Canada. Learn more.
Canadian Association for Girls in Science (CAGIS)
The Canadian Association for Girls In Science (CAGIS) is Canada’s largest and longest-running STEM club for girls and gender diverse youth aged 7-17. This award-winning club, founded in 1992, supports interest in Science, Technology, Trades, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with virtual programming and local clubs that visit labs, workshops, and field sites to meet mentors and do fun, hands-on activities. Canadian Sports Hall of Fame
Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame athletes didn’t do it by themselves. they had lots of help…including all the STEM that went into every sport along the way. This partnership exposes campers to the amazing Canadian sport heroes (our Hall of Famers) and the STEAM/STEM they used to make them successful. Campers participate in virtual field trips that are designed to fire their sports imagination and foster their love of the STEM/STEAM behind the sport.
STEM Camp
As budgets in education shrink across Canada, more and more teachers dig into their personal resources to purchase supplies for their classrooms. The STEM Camp Foundation was launched in 2018 to help fund STEM & STEAM projects in schools in communities in which STEM Camp operates. Projects funded have included many types of coding and robotics activities such as Microbits but also support for Women In STEM through bursary programs at community colleges. Learn more.
Kids World Records
Kids World Records believes that every child possesses the capacity for greatness and their mission is simple yet powerful: to offer children aged 4-16 the opportunity to make record breaking history competing on a fair playing field.
